Mark Steven Powers, age 61, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare. 

Mark was born October 24, 1955, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Newton "Jiggs" Powers and Mary Norene Black Powers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 16, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Lisa Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, in Cunningham. Visitation will be Friday, September 15, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, September 16, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Mark is survived by his brother, Eric (Anita) Powers of Franklin, TN; two sisters, Susan (Donnie) Brown of Clarksville, TN and Jeanne (Jeff) Pleasant of Franklin, TN; several nieces and nephews, Caroline Pleasant, Houston Pleasant, Pierce Pleasant, Josh Powers, Hannah Powers, Chris Brown, Emily Brown, and Peyton Brown; and one great nephew, Harper Brown. 

Pallbearers will be Josh Powers, Pierce Pleasant, Houston Pleasant, Chris Brown, Peyton Brown, Eddie Powers, Rodney Anderson, Monty Powers, and Shane Moore. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tucker's House, P.O. Box 968, Spring Hill, TN 37174; or to Progressive Directions, Inc., 1249 Paradise Hill Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
