Martha Allyne (Skaggs) Slayden

Martha Allyne Slayden, age 80 of Mt. Juliet passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her residence.

Martha was born March 29, 1941 in Clarksville, TN to the late Allen Skaggs Sr. and Annie Kathryn Harris. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Terry Ray Slayden and son, Jeffrey Ray Slayden. She is survived by her daughter, Mitzie Slayden; brother, Allen Skaggs Jr.; sister, Edna Anderson and grandson, Terry Christian Slayden.

She loved her grandson Terry as well as her three grand-dogs Honey, Izzy & Rory. Hallmark and QVC were her favorite stations to watch. When she lived in Clarksville, she loved her church family at Hilldale Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Slayden Cemetery, 1900 Little Bartons Creek Road. Cumberland Furnace, TN 37051.

Pallbearers will be Mike Phillips, William Phillips, Brandon Barr, Terry Slayden, Timmy Jacobs and Greg Hester.
