Matthew "Matty" Emerson Hodges

Matthew "Matty" Emerson Hodges, died on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the age of 39.

Matty attended UT Knoxville and lived in Clarksville, TN. He worked as a realtor in Nashville, helping spark the revitalization of East Nashville. A life long animal lover, Matty was often seen with a dog at his heels. He was funny, passionate, and had a tender heart.

Matty will be greatly missed by his parents, Mark and Karen Hodges; his sisters, Ashley Hodges and Courtney (Lee) Jones; nephews, Logan and Evan Jones; maternal grandmother, Helen Clarke; aunts, Susan Clarke (Peter Willmott), Janice Foley, and Sue Hodges; uncles, Wesley (Dolly) Clarke and Brian (Paula) Clarke; many cousins and faithful dog, Layla.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, March 30, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Matty's Memory to Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.
