Milagros Montanez

Milagros "Millie" Montanez, age 36, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at her residence.

Millie was born April 10, 1982, in Monterey, CA to Eddie Montanez and Yu Suk Kim Montanez.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Jadyn Montanez; two brothers, Austin Montanez (Eivar) and Dennis Melendez Montanez; two sisters, Sheida Jeryd (Sophia, Nicole) and Ednil Montanez; nephew, Nitsua Montanez; and a host of extended family in South Korea and Puerto Rico.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Montanez, Jr.

Affectionately referred to as "Millie" by her family and friends, she accepted Jesus Christ at an early age.  Millie graduated from Kenwood High School in 2000, where she was voted Homecoming Queen by her peers. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology on 18 December 2004 from The University of Memphis and her Masters of Business Administration on 30 September 2008 from The University of Phoenix.  On April 12, 2001 at 9:00 pm Millie crossed the Burning Sands of The Resplendent Rho Gamma Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Ron Bailey officiating. Burial will be at Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Austin Montanez, Danny Lopez, Nicole Stephens, Ronnie Ware, Christopher Marerro, and Lea Dudley.
