I just wanted to take a moment and share my memories from high school. Neal and I were not great friends but we did cross pass with each other quite a bit. He made a lasting impression on me simply because he was so genuinely kind to everyone. He was the type of person that would talk to and brighten the day of the outcast, the unpopular & the people that no one noticed. He had such a friendly warm and kind spirit that this sticks out to me 20 years later.

Neil was a friend and a mentor.

He was incredibly generous and always there when we needed a friend. I'll never forget the good times we shared across the globe, and will always appreciate his uncanny wisdom and remarkable ability to somehow find laughter in every situation.

Words can not describe how sorry I am to learn this news of Neil's passing and for your loss. Neil was a fraternity brother to me at CU and a true friend. He was a natural leader in everything he did. I have many fond memories of times spent with Neil. He will be sorely missed and the world is a lesser place without him in it.
