Patricia Powers Wright

Patricia (Pat) Powers Wright of Clarksville, TN went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at age 75. Patricia was born on September 29, 1947 in Clarksville, TN to the late Edgar Powers Jr. and Ina Mae Patton. She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Collin Wright.

She is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, David Wright; her son, Jeff Wright (Heather) and her daughter, Amy Hatcher (Rick). She also leaves behind her brother, Robert (Bob) Powers, and sister, Nancy Ward, as well as two grandchildren, Kayla Lane (Zach) and Courtney Wright (CD); three great-grandchildren, Harper Lane, Olivia Wright (and her mom, Sierra), and Waylon Christy along with numerous extended family.

She graduated from Hillsboro High School in Nashville in 1965 and then went to Trevecca Nazarene College until she married David on June 6, 1968. She worked at Acme Boots for a brief period and then spent the rest of her employment as a secretary and office manager in the medical field. Pat loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. She was a lifetime member of the Nazarene Church and the church pianist for approximately 25 years. She used her talents to also play at many weddings, special events and funerals.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, May 19th, at 10 am in the chapel at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. James Hicks and Rev. Rich Cook officiating. A graveside service will follow at Ryes Chapel Cemetery in Southside, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, May 18th, from 4-7pm. Pallbearers will be close family and friends. Pat always donated to St. Jude Children Research Hospital so the family is asking donations be made to them at www.stjude.org in her memory.
