Patrick Edward Carpenter, Jr.

Patrick Edward Carpenter, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 23, 2018.  He was 88. Pat was born June 30, 1929 to the late Pat Sr. and Lucy Carpenter. 

Pat is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara Carpenter, son, Patrick “Eddie” Carpenter III and granddaughter, Lisa Carpenter. 

He is survived by his son, Phillip (Karen) Carpenter, daughter, Jane Carpenter, daughter-in-law, Brenda Carpenter, grandsons Patrick (Diana) Carpenter IV and Adam Carpenter, granddaughter Amy (Daniel) Gardner, great-granddaughter, Penelope Gardner and sister, Joyce Shoulders. 

Pat was a long time resident of Clarksville, TN and was proud to be from New Providence.  He was a lifelong member of New Providence United Methodist Church and past president of the New Providence Civitan Club. Pat worked in the automotive business for the majority of his career and loved taking great care of his customers.  Pat served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War assigned to the prestigious Strategic Air Command. 

A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Friday, June 29, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Haley Robinson officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Providence United Methodist Church, Family Life Center Fund, 1317 Fort Campbell Blvd., Clarksville, TN 37042.
