Peggy Joyce (Nichols) Akins

Peggy Joyce Akins, 76, of Palmyra, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at her residence.

Peggy was born on May 23, 1942, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Maurice Edward Nichols and Evelyn Williams Hartman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Akins and brother, Bro. Jimmy Nichols.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Bro. Craig Cross. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Peggy was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Donna Lynn Self of Palmyra, TN; two sons, Terry Lee Parker and Phillip Wayne Parker of Clarksville, TN; six grandchildren, Christie Kerley, Joey Self, Amy Wooden, Amanda Greene, Timmy Borden, and Travis Borden; and ten great grandchildren.
