Peggy Lou Miller

Peggy Lou Miller, age 81, of Clarksville, TN passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at her residence.

Peggy was born July 22, 1941, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Clarence Melvin Miller and Hildred Wallace Miller. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert John (Robbie) Barrett; brother, Dale Miller; and sisters Virginia Whitaker and Jean Ford. 

Peggy is survived by her loving children; son, William Barrett (Holly); daughter, Heather Barrett (Carey Crane); brother, William Wallace Miller (Karen); sister, Meredith Gildrie (Richard); grandchildren, Ryan and Aidan Barrett. 

Peggy is remembered for her life affirming outlook and optimism, strong and abiding faith, her sense of humor, and curiosity about the world. She enjoyed the Arts, gardening, genealogical research, reading, and travel, always appreciating people of different backgrounds and cultures. Peggy's warmth, genuine interest in, and acceptance of people drew many to her. Some would say she never met a stranger. She had an affinity for New Mexico, having lived there for six years. Friends and family were her greatest love, including a large extended clan of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:30 PM, at the Trinity Episcopal Church located at 317 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040 with Dorothy Hartzog Officiating.
