Richard Irvin Short

Richard Irvin Short, age 73 passed away, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Nashville, TN.

Richard was born May 10, 1947 at Fort Campbell, KY to the late James Kenneth Short and Martha Jo Abernathy Short. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Jo Bryant.

Richard is survived by his sons, Richard Short Jr., Allen D. Short; daughters, Dena Sanders, Jennifer K. Short and sister Aurelia (Peter) Hawker; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

Richard was a member of the New Providence United Methodist Church, and was a 1965 graduate of Clarksville High School.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Jodie McBryant officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2020 from noon until 1:30 PM.
