Robert Stephen Gilray, Sr., age 77, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Tennessee State Veterans Home. 

Robert was born August 20, 1944, in Olean, NY. He retired from the US Army and later worked as a 911 dispatcher and a volunteer for Montgomery County Rescue Squad. Mr. Gilray was also a sports referee. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Robert is survived by his wife, Judith Dunbar Gilray; three sons, Robert S. Gilray, Jr., Michael Stuart Gilray, and Matthew S. (Miluska) Gilray; five grandchildren, Sierra, Leilany, Cheyenne, Matthew, and Eli; and four great grandchildren, Madison, Natalie, Sawyer, and Kylin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, January 24, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, January 24, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
