Robert Gene "Bob" Ott

Bob Ott, age 87, of Clarksville, passed away August 6, 2022. He was born April 22, 1935 in Littleton, WV. to the late Robert M Ott and Delivera Bissett Ott.

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 yrs, Ann Kathleen Hogan Ott; two daughters, Joanne (Dan) Askew, and Beth Mitchell; three grandchildren, Walt (Kaitlyn) Askew, Margaret Askew, Hope Askew. 

Bob was retired from the US. Army for 20 years; being stationed at Ft. Bragg, Ft. Campbell, and in Germany, Vietnam (2 tours), and Korea. He served his community in law enforcement at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department for 23 years and then the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) for ten years.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville and was a member of Ralph Conklin's Sunday school class. He was a patriot. He was a hero. He was a friend. He was a Dad.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, August 11, at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Pat Van Dyke and Rev. Roger Freeman officiating.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and Thursday from 12:00 until the service hour, at the funeral home.
