Robert Darnley Rood

Robert Darnley Rood, 70, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at his residence.

Robert was born on June 14, 1948, in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late James D. Rood and Maria Conception Alvarez Esteves. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Darnley Rood, Jr. and Charles David Rood.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3242 US-41 ALT, Clarksville, TN 37043, with Bishop David Green officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Robert was a retired U.S. Army Veteran.

Robert is survived by his wife, Janice Rood; three sons, Michael A. Rood, Jacob L. (Savannah) Rood, and Richard J. Rood; two daughters, Jennifer (William) Handa and Angela (William) Embler; brother, Richard (Ramona) Rood; sister, Della (Paul) Griscti; twenty-two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Michael Rood, Jacob Rood, Richard Rood, Keano Watts, Logan Handa, Daniel Handa, and Bill Handa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3242 US-41 ALT, Clarksville, TN 37043.
