TSGT Ryan S. Delashmit, of Clarksville, TN, was Promoted to Glory on Sunday, August 27, 2017.  Ryan was born on July 27, 1978, in Truckee, CA, to Michael and Amy (Clow) Delashmit.

TSGT Ryan spent 20 years in the USAF and was to retire in January, 2018.  TSGT Ryan Delashmit was a reservist at Scott AFB, and worked as a medical technician at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Ft. Campbell, KY.

Ryan was very involved as a Jr. Soldier in The Salvation Army and had the privilege to introduce General Burrows at a national congress.

One of Ryan’s proudest moments was achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and in debt to BSA Scout Master Chuck Lafayette for pushing him. He constantly lived the BSA Motto, “Do a good turn for others”.

Ryan was an excellent lab tech and could always be counted on to go above and beyond what was required or expected.  He could fix nearly anything and was loved by everyone.  Ryan was known as a compassionate man who was willing to share anything he had been blessed with.

His passions were old cars, motorcycles, and a good cigar, and he often said “Everything happens for a reason.” One of Ryan’s greatest accomplishments was to make life better for Ana as her permanent legal guardian for 9 years.

Ryan loved the Lord Jesus and had recently attended an Encounter Weekend with his brother, Jason. He always brought great humor into his family and extended family at work and motorcycle club.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Bernice (Bohannon) Delashmit, Emery and Dora (Young) Clow, and his aunt, Tami Fisher. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Amy Delashmit, his brother, Jason Delashmit and wife Jessica (Grey) a nephew, Brandon and a niece, Courtney, all of Bourbon, MO, two uncles, Jeffry S.
