Sandra Jean (Seem) Farmer

Sandra Jean Seem was born into this world on November 9, 1949, the eldest child of Catherine and Donald Seem in Fostoria, Ohio. Sandra quickly embraced the role of big sister to her 7 younger siblings that would follow, all of whom she affectionately referred to as hers. Her Tommy, her Vicki, her Randy, her Belinda, her Donnie, her Robin and her Kathy Kay. The years that would follow the difficult and premature loss of their deeply beloved mother would solidify her place as the family matriarch, as well as her unending love of family and her passion for helping others. 

  In 1968 she answered her life’s calling to become a wife and mother, a role she had already long practiced by the time she fell madly in love with a tall, hazel eyed, and devilishly handsome, young scrapper named Richard. He would become her rock and refuge and she his home and comfort as they fought their way through the ups and downs of life together. Theirs would become an incredible love story of two people meant to be, never giving up, and constantly nurturing the best in each other. For 53 years, they would set an example of Christ like love for their 5 children, as they never failed to help those in need, sacrificing time and time again for those they loved. 

 Her Gary (& Vicki), her Jason (& Nikki), her Maurita (& Sam), her Vikki (& Lucus), and her Joshua are going to miss her terribly, as there is no one on earth quite as pure of heart and as deeply loving as their mother. She was already an angel on this earth and now in heaven, who watches over them and their babies, her beloved grandchildren; Christopher, Timothy, Jennifer, Jacob (Kaila), Laithan, Katie, Isayah, Hannah, Lee, Scott and  great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Billy Jr.

Her family takes comfort in knowing, Sandra Jean Farmer was reunited with her mother, her sister Belinda, a child she never got to hold and two grand babies, in the loving presence of Jesus, on July 8, 2021. Please say a prayer for her family as the loss they feel is extraordinary. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021 @ 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
