Helen was my third grade Sunday school teacher at Hilldale Church of Christ. I was worried I would not be prepared for class so one of the Winstead girls helped me prepare for her class. She always smiled and worked to assist at church with the Welcome table. A great lady and example to all of us!

Dear Seay/Rhoden Families,

Lisa and I are so sorry for your great loss. Miss Helen was a fine Christian lady and one of our favorite sisters in Christ. She was always the best example and always had excellent advice and encouraging words for all. We will deeply miss her. She was my wife's Sunday school teacher and I was honored to take her communion when she was home bound. We will miss her wisdom, wit, and southern belle hospitality. may God bless and comfort you all.

Mrs. Helen was one of the finest women I have ever known. She and Wayne Long were responsible for hiring me at First National Bank in 1978. Every time I saw her she was in a hurry at work and always worked hard for what she had. I never heard her utter a negative word about anybody and of course everyone at the bank loved her. My mom was a great cook and one of my fondest memories if Mrs. Helen was when she came up to me at a church fellowship meal and beamed she had taken the last piece of Moms lemon cake. I laughed of course and said " Well lady I guess it's your lucky day! " And that's what she was--a true Christian Southern lady. I have no doubt the angels in heaven are rejoicing right now as she has entered the pearly gates. What an inspiration she was to me and everyone she came in contact with!!

Mike,
Your Mom was a beautiful spirit and touched so, so many lives. I let Ken (Kenny) know and he sends you his sympathy. He reminded me that she made him a loan of $1700 to buy his 64 Chevrolet, back when he was still in high school. He said she was like his second Mom. I remember your Dad also. Great parents. ! We are thinking of you and your family at this time. Judy Rose Key, Ken Rose
