I first got to know Margaret Sumner when I was a professor in the College of Education & Human Services at APSU. She manager the Learning Resource Center that was full of books and materials to assist the learning processes of children, Later, when I became Dean, I more fully realized Margaret's friendly manner and old school work ethic and developed even more respect for her. Margaret also became a friend of my wife, Janet who enjoyed her company and smile as much as I did. Margaret is missed bu both of us.

The passing of this wonderful woman brings Yeats words to mind. "Think where man's glory most begins and ends and say my glory was I had such a friend." I will not forget her, for remembering often means never forgetting. John Quick
