Rip is a true Clarksville treasure who lived up to his name. What a gentleman with a smile, laugh, kind word, or funny story for everyone. He cared about all of us and we felt it. I know how much he loved all of his family and he definitely felt your love in return. Rip will be remembered forever and missed by many. He touched our hearts and lives.

I saw Rip the last time at Johnny's Big Burger and he thanked me for stopping him and speaking. He sure will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in Peace Rip

I met Rip in 1984 at Nashville Auto Auction. We each started our car dealerships that year and we each loved Corvettes. We bought from and sold to each other for decades. We had many great visits at NAA and Knoxville Corvette Expo. Rip was always a gentleman and a man of his word. I will miss him.

Such a great guy! So friendly and outgoing. And that smile....like many have said would light up a room! So glad we crossed paths in this life. May peace surround the hearts and minds of the Watts family. Love to you.

He will be missed by any and all whose path he ever crossed, Rip was one of those people when you met him, you never forgot him. My deepest sympathies to his boys, to Sandra, to Murray Dale and to his Family members and those close to him. A light in Clarksville has gone dim, prayers, love and hugs to all.

Hey Susan. Can you believe Rip and Huck are gone...? I just found out about Rip. Blows me away. What a great summer we had at T&T. 1975. The very height of the stoner generation. And you, Huck, Rip and me were in the middle of it. Such a great time to be young, so much different now,

I'm very sorry to learn of Rip's passing. I'm glad our paths passed in life. Rip was infectious with his outstanding personality and a smile that could light the darkest of rooms. Loved people; never met a stranger. Always glad to call him a friend. We also spent a lot of time talking about our most common favorite subject...Corvettes! Rest in peace Rip. Sometimes people make the statement and mean well in saying you will be missed. Rip you are missed!
