Earl Wayne Gibbs, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, February 23, 2018, at his residence.

Wayne was born September 13, 1946, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Earl Bryant Gibbs and Bernice Toler Gibbs. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Meeks.

Wayne was a member of the Community Church of God and a US Air Force veteran. He was a people person, who never met a stranger.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, February 27, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Rex Stout officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, February 26, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, February 27, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sherry Stone Gibbs; son, Chris (Teresa) Gibbs of London, England; two daughters, Dana Gibbs-Waters and Mandy Wade, both of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Jacob, Caitlin, Emily, Chloe, and Riley; one great grandchild, Adyson; and his loving dog, Sailor.

Pallbearers will be Mark Stone, Todd Dunn, Jacob Barnes, David Lantz, Larry Farley, and Billy Herndon.
