Marilynn Gail Gilliard Alberd, age 70, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at her residence.

Marilynn was born August 30, 1947, to the late William Gilliard and Sheila Draus Gilliard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Alberd; and two sisters, Kathleen Hood and Shelia Ann Devaul.

Mrs. Alberd was employed by the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, and she was of the Catholic faith.

As she requested, there will be no public services, and her remains are to be cremated.

Marilynn is survived by her son, Jody Lee (Melissa) Alberd of Clarksville; sister, Barbara Hissong of Tampa, FL; three brothers, William Gilliard, Jr. of New Jersey, Kenneth Gilliard of Tampa, FL, and Frederick Gilliard of Pensacola, FL; and three grandchildren, Ashley Holt, Caitlin Alberd, and Justin Alberd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
